The Dangly Drawstring Bag
The Dangly bag is the result of my quest to create a sustainable product through a careful selection of materials.
I scavenged an old fabric swatch book and cut it up to make the body parts and then stuffed the legs with the off cuts. (As well as some left over fleece). Left over fabric made up the animals clothes. Buttons and felt eyes and noses are from my stash of sewing goodies found in junk shops over the years.
The bag is made from hemp, which is sustainably grown and the inner is African calico - supporting African farming. Finally all parts seen up but he fabulous Patti Abdurahman in Mitchell's Plein.
And there you have it - consciously created and locally made!
PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE ONE OFF CREATIONS, ONLY ONE OF EACH DESIGN!
